Checking out a new piece of land often involves getting on the road long-distance, and experiencing the many seasonal twists and turns of our beautiful America.

Our recent trip to North Carolina. After hitting one of the most dangerous and exciting roads in all of North America – “Tail of the Dragon” right outside of Robbinsville, NC, we thought what better time to put together a quick roadside safety checklist.

Before we get to the list, let’s first highlight some of the basic bloodwork you should go over with your vehicle prior to departure, to include: checking tires, fluids, blades, and blinkers, etc.

While we have “roadtripping” in mind as we fingerpunch this short article, we should note that by no means should this list be exclusive to long-distance adventures – everything on this list should be kept in your vehicle at all times. So, after sitting down and compiling an extensive list of everything we could think of that should be included in a vehicle safety kit (and reviewing our own), believe it or not – we found the Safety Kit from First Secure includes pretty much everything on the list.

Copper-clad 8-guage jumper Cables, reflector triangles, 250 PSI air compressor, flashlight and even a first aid kit – it’s all included.

According to their website, First Secure offers a lifetime warranty on all their products, and it should be noted that this roadside kit has a 4.7 star rating with over 3,500 reviews.

You can download our free checklist HERE, or check out the First Secure Safety Kit on Amazon below and get it all in one swoop.

Whatever you decide, make sure you have everything you need prior to getting on the road, as your safety should always be your number one priority. Another good thing to do is make sure you do a vehicle safety check prior to departure,
